Hammond 193N 3H 500mA Enclosed DC Filter Choke, 600VDC

The Hammond 193N is a D.C. filter choke from the 193 Series of enclosed and potted chassis mount chokes, rated 3 henries at 500 mA DC. It is designed for high voltage power supply filtering, and is a natural fit for tube amplifier builders, audio equipment restorers and OEM engineers designing linear DC supplies.

The 193N is a 3 henry, 500 mA choke with 35 ohms resistance and a 600 VDC maximum operating voltage in the enclosed X11 case. The potted 193NP raises the voltage rating to 800 VDC.

The 193N is an enclosed, 4-hole chassis mount choke using the X11 mounting style: Dimension A 3.13 in, B 3.75 in, C 3.81 in, D 2.50 in and E 2.44 in, with .203 x .38 in mounting slots. The unit is vacuum impregnated with polyurethane varnish for quiet, long-life operation, has minimum 8 in long leads, and its case matches power transformers and tube audio output transformers.

Electrically, the 193N has a resistance of 35 ohms and a maximum operating voltage of 600 VDC. Inductance is measured at rated D.C. current, with a tolerance of 15% on both inductance and resistance; the unit will exhibit less inductance at slightly higher currents and more at lower currents.
