Hammond 193C 20H 100mA Enclosed DC Filter Choke, 600VDC

The Hammond 193C is a D.C. filter choke from the 193 Series of enclosed and potted chassis mount chokes, rated 20 henries at 100 mA DC. It is designed for high voltage power supply filtering, and is a natural fit for tube amplifier builders, audio equipment restorers and OEM engineers designing linear DC supplies.

The 193C delivers 20 henries at 100 mA in the enclosed X7 case. A potted version with the same inductance and current, the 193CP, is also offered and is rated for a higher 800 VDC maximum operating voltage.

The 193C is an enclosed, 4-hole chassis mount choke using the X7 mounting style: Dimension A 2.50 in, B 2.94 in, C 3.06 in, D 2.00 in and E 1.94 in, with .203 x .38 in mounting slots. The unit is vacuum impregnated with polyurethane varnish for quiet, long-life operation, has minimum 8 in long leads, and its case matches power transformers and tube audio output transformers.

Electrically, the 193C has a resistance of 181 ohms and a maximum operating voltage of 600 VDC. Inductance is measured at rated D.C. current, with a tolerance of 15% on both inductance and resistance; the unit will exhibit less inductance at slightly higher currents and more at lower currents. Insulation class is 105C and the operating temperature range is -40C to 65C. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant.
