The 183J28 is a 30VA low voltage power transformer from the 183 Series, designed to mount directly on a printed circuit board. Output is taken from dual secondary windings that are non-concentrically wound and can be wired in series, in parallel or used separately. When the secondaries are connected in series (pin 9 connected to pin 10), that connection acts as the center tap.
Construction uses a low profile, split bobbin with top shroud design. Primary to secondary coupling is low, so no electrostatic shield is required, insulation is hipot tested to 4,000V RMS and rated Class F (155 degrees C). Mounting is four-hole using #6 screws (mounting screws not provided), and the pins follow industry standard spacing for P.C. board layouts.
