The 183H12 is a 20 VA low voltage P.C. board mounted power transformer rated 12.6 V C.T. at 1.6 A in series or 6.3 V at 3.2 A in parallel. The universal dual primary is wired in parallel for 115 VAC or in series for 230 VAC at 50/60 Hz, and the larger 20 VA frame gives four times the VA of the 5 VA 12.6 V model in the same series.
Inside, a split bobbin with top shroud keeps the profile low, while the non-concentrically wound secondaries provide low primary-to-secondary coupling without an electrostatic shield. Insulation is Class F, rated 155 °C, and the unit carries a 4,000 V RMS hipot rating.
