The 183F24 is a 5 VA low voltage PCB mount power transformer with a dual 115/230 V primary for 50/60 Hz mains. Its two 12 V, 210 mA secondary windings give 24 V C.T. at 0.21 A when wired in series or 12 V at 0.42 A when wired in parallel, a common pairing for 24 V and 12 V AC circuits on compact control and instrument boards.
Construction uses a low profile, split bobbin with a top shroud. The dual secondary windings are non-concentrically wound, giving low primary-to-secondary coupling so no electrostatic shield is required, and the transformer is hipot rated at 4,000 V RMS with Class F (155 °C) insulation.
The 183F24 drawing specifies L 1.625" ±0.063, W 1.313" ±0.063 and H 1.360" ±0.063, with 0.025" SQ. ±0.005 square pins and a #4 mounting screw (two-hole mounting; screws not provided); the series table lists the 5 VA size nominally as 1.63 x 1.44 x 1.38 in.
For 115 V operation the two primaries (pins 1-3 and 4-6) are connected in parallel; for 230 V they are connected in series.
