Hammond 175F-NA 1000VA 230V to 115V Step-Down Autotransformer

The Hammond 175F-NA is a 1000VA plug-in step-down autotransformer that converts 230VAC to 115VAC at 50 or 60 Hz. It is intended for electricians, integrators and facilities teams who need to run standard 115V North American equipment from a 230V supply, where the equipment is already isolated and only a voltage change is required.

This unit uses a single winding, so it does not provide isolation. The input is circuit breaker protected, and every unit is hi-pot tested to 2 KV RMS. At 1000VA, the 175F-NA shares its 7.06 in by 4.68 in footprint with the 750VA model in the series while adding capacity for heavier 115V loads.

On this "-NA" version the input is a 5 foot cord with a grounded North American 250V plug (NEMA 6-15P), a standard 3-wire grounded plug that can also be used with adaptors for proper grounding. The output is a one foot long "pig tail" cord ending in a standard North American 115V 3-wire grounded receptacle (NEMA 5-15R).
