Hammond 1750Y 15W Push-Pull Output Transformer for AC15 Amps

The 1750Y is a 15 watt push-pull output transformer for tube guitar amplifiers, designed for drop in replacement of original units such as the VOX AC15 Vintage (P-TVO15). It suits technicians and restorers who want a replacement that keeps the look and tone of the factory part in an AC15.

The 1750Y matches a 6,200 ohm center-tapped primary to an 8 ohm secondary and is bobbin wound. Typical frequency response is 70Hz to 15KHz (0/-1dB referenced at 1KHz) with distortion below 1% at 70Hz. The primary white-red DC resistance is 289.0 ohms and the secondary black-green is 0.480 ohm. At 1.0 kHz, 1.0 V, the primary white-red shows 14.6H (92K ohm) and the secondary black-green 31.04mH (231.20 ohm), with 14.04 mH primary leakage inductance.

Material used and design specifications were kept as close as possible to the original part to preserve the stock tone, and the unit is constructed to look similar to the original where possible. It is an open style transformer; all leads come out at least 18.0 in and are stripped 0.5 in. Lead colours are white and red for the primary with a brown connection, and green (8 ohm) and black (common) for the secondary.
