Hammond 1750AX 3.5W 7.5K Single-Ended Guitar Amp Output Transformer

The 1750AX is a 3.5 watt single-ended output transformer from the 1750 series of tube guitar amplifier replacement and upgrade parts. It has a 7500 ohm primary and an 8 ohm secondary, with a bobbin winding; the part page lists the original amp manufacturer as Fender.

The series is designed for drop in replacement of original units, constructed to look similar to the original factory units where possible, with materials and design specifications kept as close as possible to the original part to preserve the stock "tone".

The drawing rates frequency response at 70 Hz to 15 kHz (0/-3 dB reference @ 1 kHz) and distortion at less than 1.5% @ 70 Hz. Typical values at 1 kHz: primary DCR 345 ohms (Blue-Red), secondary DCR 0.699 ohm (Black-Green), primary inductance 6.0 H with 37.4 kOhm impedance, secondary inductance 11.72 mH with 69.16 ohm impedance, and 423 mH leakage inductance (Blue-Red). Dielectric strength is 1500 Vrms and the temperature range is -40 to 105 C.

With a lower primary impedance than the 25000 ohm 1750A at the same 3.5 W rating, the 1750AX suits single-ended stages that call for a 7500 ohm load into an 8 ohm speaker.
