Hammond 169PS 15VA 115V Isolation Transformer, 130 mA Secondary

The 169PS is a 15VA hard wired 1:1 isolation transformer from the 169S Series (Isolation, 115VAC to 115VAC). It is the smallest model in the 169S Series, a 15VA unit suited to low-current circuits such as a classic bias supply, and the series is described as perfect for circuit isolation or a "Classic" bias power supply.

The primary is 115VAC, 60 Hz and the secondary is 115VAC, with a rated secondary current of 130 mA. An electrostatic shield is fitted between primary and secondary. Because input and output are both 115VAC, the 169PS is chosen to separate a circuit from the incoming line rather than to change its voltage, and its 15VA rating sets how much connected load it can isolate. The drawing's electrical test data lists an excitation current (Iex) of 105.6mA max. at 115V, 60Hz; a secondary no-load voltage of 129.7V ±2%; DC resistance at 20°C of 38.40 ohms ±20% (primary, BLK-BLK) and 54.00 ohms ±20% (secondary, YEL-YEL); and a primary-to-secondary hipot of 1500V, 60Hz, 1 sec.

Connection is by flexible leads, 8" minimum length. Overall dimensions are A 1.88 in (48 mm), B 2.07 in (53 mm), C 2.50 in (64 mm), D 1.50 in (38 mm) and E 1.19 in (30 mm), and the unit weighs 1.3 lbs (shipping weight 1.3 lbs (0.59 kg)). As a hard wired unit with flexible leads, the 169PS is connected directly into the equipment's wiring. The part drawing gives toleranced values of A 1.875" ±0.063, B 2.031" ±0.125, C 2.468" ±0.063, D 1.500" ±0.063, E 1.188" ±0.063, F 1.625" ±0.063 and a G slot of 0.188" x 0.313" ±0.015. Primary leads are black and secondary leads are yellow.

The 169PS is CSA certified (209651) and listed as RoHS and REACH compliant.
