The 169E is a 250VA hard wired isolation transformer from the 169 Series (Isolation, 115VAC to 90-130VAC). It is a 250VA model that shares its overall dimensions with the 500VA 169G, and is aimed at users with critical line voltage needs, such as older "classic" tube equipment or Japanese 100V equipment.
The primary is 115VAC, 60 Hz, and the secondary is tapped at 90, 100, 110, 115, 120 and 130VAC so the output can be set above or below the incoming line. An electrostatic shield sits between primary and secondary. These units do NOT convert line frequency. The 100VAC tap matches the Japanese 100V equipment example given in the series data, while the 90VAC to 130VAC range covers taps both below and above the 115VAC primary, all within the 169E's 250VA rating.
