Hammond 167S30 300 VA 30 VCT 10 A Enclosed Filament Transformer

The 167S30 is a low voltage, filament-type power transformer from the 167 Series, in an enclosed, chassis mount package with a 115 VAC, 60 Hz primary. It is rated 300 VA and delivers a 30 V centre-tapped secondary (RMS) at 10 A, for OEM engineers, equipment builders and repair technicians who need a fixed low-voltage AC secondary from a 115 V line. The 167S30 is a 30 V centre-tapped, 10 A transformer rated 300 VA, and its manufacturer drawing adds tested electrical data: no-load secondary voltage, excitation current, winding resistance and hipot conditions.

The 167 Series uses a dual bobbin design, so no electrostatic shield is required. Tested at 115 V, 60 Hz, excitation current is 346.8 mA max, no-load secondary voltage is 31.79 V ±2% across GRN - GRN and 15.89 V ±2% from each GRN to the GRN/YEL tap, and the primary-to-secondary hipot is 2000 V, 60 Hz for 1 second. The drawing gives B as 3.936 in ±0.125 against 4.00 in in the series table.
