The 166D20 is a 2 VA low-voltage transformer with a 115 V, 60 Hz single primary and a 20 V C.T. secondary rated 0.1 A (100 mA). It is suited to small 20 V class power, control and signal circuits.
As a 166 Series part it uses an economical single-primary design, an open-style channel bracket for two-hole chassis mounting, and minimum 6 in long leads. The dual bobbin construction means no electrostatic shield is required. Windings use Class B insulation (130 degrees C) for extra protection, although the design is UL listed as a Class A (105 degrees C) design, and each unit is Hi-Pot tested at 2,000 V RMS. The 166D20 drawing shows black primary leads and green secondary leads with a green/yellow lead on the secondary side.
