Hammond 164J36 36VA 36V C.T. Low Profile PCB Power Transformer

The 164J36 is a 36VA low voltage power transformer for printed circuit board mounting, built in a low profile, split bobbin format. It has an economical single 115V primary for 50/60 Hz operation and a dual-winding secondary that delivers 36V C.T. @ 1A when the windings are connected in series, or 18V @ 2.0A when they are connected in parallel. It suits OEM engineers and electronics designers who need a compact board-level AC source at 36V centre-tapped or 18V.

The two secondary windings are non-concentrically wound, which keeps primary-to-secondary coupling low so no electrostatic shield is required. The unit is designed so that all windings must be used.
