The 159M is a 15 henry filter choke rated for 100 mA DC and 500 VDC maximum operating voltage, for high voltage power supply filtering where both high inductance and higher voltage headroom matter.
It uses the largest C14H frame, which gives it a 500 VDC rating versus 400 VDC on the 15H 158L, at the cost of a heavier 2.25 lb unit.
Electrically, the 159M is specified at 15H ±15% with its inductance measured at the rated 100 mA DC. DC resistance is 256 ohms ±15% and the maximum operating voltage is 500 VDC. As with every choke in the 153-159 Series, it will show less inductance at slightly higher currents and more inductance at lower currents, so size it to the actual load current.
