Hammond 1599KTSGY 220 x 140 mm Short-Slope Console, Gray FR Abs

The 1599KTSGY is a light gray short-slope sloping console from the 1599T series, a slope-top plastic console for interface and control electronics built by OEM engineers and integrators. This K-size console is 220 mm wide and 140 mm from front to rear, stepping from its 21 mm front height up to a 46 mm rear height.

The box and lid are molded from flame retardant ABS rated UL94 V-0. Standard versions close with M3-0.5 machine screws that thread into brass bushings, so the lid can be removed and refitted repeatedly; the recommended cover screw torque is 42-57 ozf.in (30-40 cN.m). The rear of the enclosure has two flat removable panels for easy modification, and the K size includes PC board standoffs on both the inside top and bottom. Four black rubber feet are included with the enclosure.

The maximum P.C. board size is 131 mm long by 211 mm wide (board not supplied), and the inside of the box accepts #4 self-tapping screws for mounting it. The top carries a recessed inlay of 206.00 mm [8.11 in] by 129.50 mm [5.10 in], set at a 11.1° slope angle on the drawing.

The 1599KTSGY is listed with an IP54 rating, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships shrink-wrapped with a shipping weight of 0.66 lbs (0.30 kg). An economy equivalent is available as 1599KSTSGY.

Some chemicals can damage or weaken ABS, including acetone, ketones, thread-locking compounds and cutting or tapping fluid, so check any cleaner, lubricant or fluid for plastic compatibility before use.
