The 1597KIT6MPIB is a DIN6 enclosure kit for the Raspberry Pi B+ development board in the Italtronic 1597KIT Embedded DIN Rail Mounted Enclosures series. At 106 mm wide it is the wider Standard option for mounting a Raspberry Pi B+ on a standard 35 mm DIN rail, aimed at panel builders, OEM engineers and automation integrators. Italtronic is an official Raspberry Pi Design Partner.
The housing is PC-ABS in RAL7035 light grey (UL94 V-2 per the part page), with a clear PC cover plate (UL 94 V-2 per the series) and a PPO DIN clip. Unlike the DIN4 kits, it uses a PCB base and adhesive pad: the purchased enclosure includes the base, cover, cover plate, PC holding board, PCB stick pad, screws and DIN clip. The Raspberry Pi B+ is not included.
The part page lists 3.56 x 4.19 x 2.44 in (90 x 106 x 62 mm); the series table gives 90.5 mm high, 106.31 mm wide and 62 mm deep; the drawing shows 90.51 mm [3.56 in] by 106.31 mm [4.19 in] by 62.00 mm [2.44 in]. Shipping weight is 0.19 lbs (0.09 kg).
The series assembly sheet sets out the sequence: place the adhesive pad on the board holder, check orientation, then place the holder into the base with the arrow touching the wall; place the board and install the screws (recommended torque 28.0-35.5 ozf-in, 20-25 cN-m); install the cover, then the clear cover plate, then the DIN rail clip. Replacement #4 x 1/4" (6.4 mm) plated PCB screws are 1593ATS50 and 1593ATS100, and the replacement DIN clip is 1597DINCLIPXT.
The 1597KIT6MPIB is RoHS and REACH compliant, can be factory modified, and has solid models available in .stp or .x_t.
