The 1597KIT4MCBB is a Standard-model DIN4 enclosure kit for the Beaglebone Black development board, from the Italtronic 1597KIT Embedded DIN Rail Mounted Enclosures series. It gives integrators and OEM engineers a way to mount a Beaglebone Black on a standard 35 mm DIN rail alongside other panel hardware. In the series table it is the Standard model for Beaglebone Black, alongside the slimmer 32 mm-deep compact version.
The enclosure is PC-ABS in RAL7035 light grey (UL94 V-2 per the part page), the clear cover plate is PC (rated UL 94 V-2 in the series data), and the DIN clip is PPO. The housing snaps together and has pre-made cutouts for the board's components. The purchased enclosure includes the base, cover, clear cover plate, screws and DIN clip; the Beaglebone Black is not included.
The part page lists 3.54 in x 2.82 in x 2.44 in (90 mm x 72 mm x 62 mm); the series table gives 90.5 mm x 72 mm x 62 mm, and the drawing shows 90.51 mm [3.56 in] tall, 71.71 mm [2.82 in] wide and 62.00 mm [2.44 in] deep. Shipping weight is 0.13 lbs (0.06 kg).
Board installation hardware is included, with a recommended PCB screw torque of 28.0-35.5 ozf-in (20-25 cN-m). Replacement #4 x 1/4" (6.4 mm) plated self-tapping PCB screws are 1593ATS50 (50) and 1593ATS100 (100); the replacement DIN clip is 1597DINCLIPXT.
The 1597KIT4MCBB is RoHS and REACH compliant. Factory modification (milling, drilling, printing) is available, and solid models come in .stp or .x_t.
