Hammond 1597D5MPRH DIN 5 Top Cover With Inlay, Gray PC-ABS

The 1597D5MPRH is a gray Italtronic top cover with inlay for DIN 5 enclosures in the 1597DM Series. Its short description, "D5 TOP PANEL INLAY, CLIPS", marks it as the inlay style of clip-in top panel, the alternative to the flat 1597D5MPH. The DIN 5 drawing marks the top cover as not included with the enclosure, so it is ordered as a separate part.

The cover is PC-ABS with a UL94 V-0 flame rating. It measures 3.32 in x 1.65 in x 0.1 in (84 mm x 42 mm x 3 mm) and ships at 0.02 lbs (0.01 kg). It is RoHS and REACH compliant.

A clear version with inlay, 1597D5MPRHTPC, is also offered for DIN 5. The series lists 1597DIN5MH53 as the DIN 5 enclosure (open top, open terminals, 90 x 88 x 58 mm), and the enclosure includes base, cover and DIN clip in PPO. In the 1597DM range, DIN group numbers refer to the number of terminals on each side of the enclosure. Hammond notes that some accessories are not compatible with all enclosures in a DIN size group; check the enclosure drawing.

The 1597D5MPRH suits integrators and OEM engineers building DIN rail housings for PCBs and terminal blocks. Some chemicals can damage or weaken plastic, so check the manufacturer's Chemical Resistance Statement before using solvents, thread-locking compounds or cutting fluids near the part.
