Hammond 1596B112-10 10-Pack 25 mm Cube Black ABS Potting Boxes

The 1596B112-10 packs ten black plastic potting boxes, each a 0.98 in (25 mm) cube. It suits OEM production lines and service departments that encapsulate the same small component repeatedly, such as a sensor, coil or small board, and want matching open shells on hand rather than ordering boxes one at a time.

Every box in the pack is a one piece molded part with no lid, designed for potting box applications. They are molded from black general purpose ABS plastic with a UL94 HB flame rating and have a smooth black finish. The drawing gives a 1.00 mm (0.039 in) wall, and the boxes are temperature rated from -20 ºC to +94 ºC (-4 ºF to 201.2 ºF).

When choosing a resin or cleaner for the 1596B112-10, note the manufacturer's chemical guidance: acetone, ketones, ethers, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, thread locking compounds, cutting fluid and strong solvents can damage the plastic, and only plastic-safe cleaners should be used. Clear chips from any modification with an air blast.
