Hammond 1593PIR10 Infrared Red End Panels for 1593 Cases, 10-Pack

The 1593PIR10 is a pack of 10 infrared end panels for Hammond 1593 Series hand-held enclosures. Molded in transparent red polycarbonate, the panel replaces the standard solid end panel so an IR transmitter or receiver inside the case can work through the end face, a common need for remote controls and IR data links.

The panels are rated UL94 V-0 and are RoHS and REACH compliant. The part page lists a size of 2.36 x 0.89 x 0.07 in (60 x 23 x 2 mm); the drawing shows 59.69 x 22.61 x 1.59 mm [2.35 x .89 x .06 in].

According to the series accessory table, the 1593PIR10 fits enclosures beginning with 1593K, 1593P, 1593L, 1593Q, 1593Y and 1593X. The enclosures are sold separately.

Because the panels are polycarbonate, observe the chemical guidance for these plastics: avoid acetone, ketones, ethers, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, thread locking compounds, cutting or tapping fluid, strong solvents and some greases and oils. When modifying, an air blast is recommended to clear chips. The drawing notes that solid models are available in STEP or IGES and that factory modification (milling, drilling, printing etc.) is offered.
