Hammond 1593PALTBU 92mm Transparent Blue ABS Handheld Case, Battery Door

The 1593PALTBU is a transparent blue 1593P handheld enclosure with a built-in battery compartment, from the 1593AL series. The ergonomic ABS case is intended for battery-powered hand-held instruments and meters that need a printed circuit board housing plus user-accessible batteries.

Overall dimensions on the drawing are 92.00 x 66.50 x 27.90 mm (3.62 x 2.62 x 1.10 in); the part page lists a nominal size of 3.6 x 2.6 x 1.1 in (91 x 66 x 28 mm). Because part of the length is given over to the battery compartment, the inside length is 48.36 mm, with an inside width of 60.89 mm and inside height of 21.80 mm. The recessed top provides an 80.00 x 55.00 mm inlay, 1.00 mm deep, for a membrane display or keypad.

Battery access is through the series' long life "three snap" battery door. One removable flat aluminum panel, 1.63 mm thick, closes the front end. The purchased assembly includes top and bottom covers, the aluminum front panel, the battery door and four cover screws (black for this colour), with a recommended cover screw torque of 57 lbf-in (40 cN-m). No IP rating is listed for this battery-door version.

The general purpose ABS has a satin texture and a UL94 HB flame rating, and the 1593PALTBU is RoHS and REACH compliant. Shipping weight is 0.19 lbs (0.09 kg).
