Hammond 1593BBALTBU 95x77x30mm Transparent Blue Handheld ABS Enclosure

The 1593BBALTBU is a transparent blue handheld instrument enclosure from the 1593AL series, molded from general purpose ABS plastic with a satin texture and closed at each end by a flat aluminum panel. It is aimed at engineers and product builders who need a compact, hand-held housing for a printed circuit board, with an ergonomic shape designed to sit comfortably in the user's hand.

The 1593BB body measures 95.31 x 77.31 x 30.00 mm (3.75 x 3.04 x 1.18 in) overall per the drawing, with an inside length of 84.30 mm, inside width of 71.43 mm and inside height of 23.90 mm. The recessed top provides an 88.00 x 66.00 mm inlay area, 1.00 mm deep, for a membrane display or keypad.

This version has no battery door and two removable aluminum end panels, 1.63 mm thick, so both the front and the rear can be drilled or cut for connectors and controls. Lap joint construction guards against dust accumulation and splashing water, and the part is listed with an IP54 rating. The purchased assembly includes the top and bottom covers, two flat aluminum panels and four cover screws; as a transparent blue enclosure it ships with black screws. The recommended cover screw torque is 57 lbf-in (40 cN-m).
