Hammond 1591XXUSFLBK 123mm Square Black Economy Flanged Lid Enclosure

The 1591XXUSFLBK combines the economy construction of the 1591XX series with a mounting flange integrated into the lid. The body measures 4.86 in x 4.86 in x 2.25 in (123 mm x 123 mm x 57 mm), and the flange extends the overall length to 147.36 mm, making it a practical choice for panel builders and OEMs who need to fix a small electronics box to a wall or shelf.

It is molded in black general purpose ABS that is not flame retardant, with a UL94 HB flammability rating, and is designed to meet IP54 for protection against dust and splashing water. The lid is assembled with four black #4 x 1/2" self-tapping screws into fully plastic posts; recommended torque is 35-43 ozf.in (25-30 cN.m).

Four molded countersunk holes (5.00 mm thru) in the flange allow easy installation, and an oval hole on each side of the flange lets the unit be strapped or hung with tie wraps. Inside, the box offers 115.66 mm x 115.66 mm x 55.40 mm of space with 2.00 mm walls and smooth sides for fitting connectors.

Integral posts in the box and lid accept #4 x 1/4" self-tapping PC board screws (not included), with a listed maximum board size of 114 mm x 114 mm. The 1591XXUSFLBK ships in shrink wrap with box, lid and 4 cover screws, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
