Hammond 1591UBU 120x120x59mm Flame Retardant ABS Enclosure, Blue

The 1591UBU is a blue version of the square 120 x 120 x 59 mm (4.72 x 4.72 x 2.32 in) 1591 Series enclosure. Listed on the 1591U drawing as one of the flame retardant ABS colour options, it suits projects where a coloured housing helps identify or differentiate equipment.

Construction is flame retardant ABS rated UL94 V-0. Card guides molded into all side walls hold 1.5 mm (0.062") circuit boards vertically, and lap joint construction protects against access of dust and splashing water; the enclosure is designed to meet IP54.

From the drawing: overall 120.00 x 120.00 x 59.00 mm, inside 113.54 x 113.54 x 54.90 mm, guide height 49.90 mm, guide slot width 2.06 mm. The lid accepts M3-0.5 machine screws into pre-installed brass inserts, with a recommended torque of 35.5–42.5 ozf.in (25–30 cN.m).

The 1591UBU assembly includes box, lid, 4 cover screws and pre-installed brass inserts. It weighs 0.36 lbs (0.16 kg) shipped in shrink wrap and is RoHS and REACH compliant.

For horizontal board mounting, 1591Z PC board card adaptors molded from flame retardant ABS are offered in packs of 6, 50 or 100, and the 1591UC flame retardant polycarbonate clear lid (lid only) is listed for the 1591U size. The drawing notes the enclosure can be factory modified by milling, drilling or printing.
