The 1591TF2SGY is a light gray, 120 x 80 x 59 mm (4.72 x 3.16 x 2.32 in) plastic enclosure from the 1591 Series of ABS multipurpose enclosures with card guides. This is the general purpose (economy) version with a mounting flange attached to the bottom, suited to OEM engineers and integrators who need to fasten a compact electronics housing to a panel or surface.
It is molded from general purpose ABS plastic with a UL94 HB flame rating; economy versions are not flame retardant. Card guides molded into all side walls accept 1.5 mm (0.062") printed circuit boards, making the box ideally suited for vertical PCB mounting. Lap joint construction protects against access of dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54.
The drawing gives an overall length of 147.00 mm [5.787 in] including the bottom flange, flange hole centres of 135.00 mm [5.315 in], an overall height of 60.30 mm [2.374 in] and inside dimensions of 113.54 x 73.74 x 54.80 mm. The lid is secured with #4 self-tapping screws into fully plastic posts; light gray enclosures include nickel finish screws. Recommended cover screw torque is 42–57 ozf.in (30–40 cN.m).
The purchased assembly includes box, lid and 4 cover screws. The 1591TF2SGY is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships in shrink wrap at 0.27 lbs (0.12 kg), and accepts the 1591TC clear lid accessory and 1591Z card adaptors for horizontal board mounting.
