The 1591GBU is a blue flame retardant ABS enclosure in the 1591G size of the 1591 multipurpose series, measuring 4.74 in x 3.69 in x 1.34 in (120 mm x 94 mm x 34 mm). Its low profile and molded card guides make it a practical project box for electronics designers and OEMs mounting compact circuit boards vertically.
Card guides are molded into all side walls and accept 1.5 mm (0.062 in) thick boards, with a guide height of 24.90 mm [0.980 in] and a 2.03 mm [0.080 in] slot. Inside, the box measures 114.26 mm [4.498 in] long, 87.36 mm [3.439 in] wide and 29.90 mm [1.177 in] high. 1591Z card adaptors allow horizontal board mounting when preferred.
The enclosure is molded from easy-to-machine flame retardant ABS carrying a UL94 V-0 rating. Lap joint construction protects against dust and splashing water and is designed to meet IP54. The lid is secured with M3 x 10 mm Phillips machine screws threaded into integral brass bushings, so it tolerates repeated opening; recommended torque is 35.5-42.5 ozf.in (25-30 cN.m).
Each 1591GBU includes box, lid, 4 cover screws and pre-installed brass inserts, packed in shrink wrap at 0.21 lbs (0.10 kg). It is RoHS and REACH compliant, the 1591GC clear polycarbonate lid is available for this size, and the factory offers milling, drilling and printing on quotation.
