The 1591FCBK gives 1591C, 1591CS, 1591XXC and 1591XXCS enclosures a black base flange for fixing to a wall or shelf. It is intended for electronics builders, OEM engineers and installers who need to surface-mount a small plastic enclosure cleanly. Compatible enclosure sizes are 1591C, 1591CS, 1591XXC and 1591XXCS.
It is molded from fire retardant ABS plastic with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating and a satin texture finish. The flange measures 5.71 in (145 mm) long by 2.43 in (62 mm) wide. The part lists an IP54 rating. One flange is included.
The enclosure is glued to the flange with standard ABS cement, which is not included. The flange ends are raised on one side so the enclosure can be positioned easily while it is being glued. Once assembled, the unit is fixed through four molded countersunk holes, or strapped or hung with tie wraps through the oval hole in each side of the flange.
