Hammond 1591EBG 191x110x61 mm Beige Flame-Retardant ABS Project Box

The 1591EBG is a beige ABS plastic case and lid in the 1591E size, listed at 191 x 110 x 61 mm (7.5 x 4.35 x 2.39 in). It is a general purpose project box for vertically mounted printed circuit boards, useful to designers and OEMs who want a neutral-coloured housing for instruments, controllers and interface electronics.

The 1591E drawing lists the beige version in flame retardant ABS, and the part page gives a UL94 V-0 flame rating. Six M3-0.5 x 10 mm cover screws thread into pre-installed brass inserts, so the lid can be removed and refitted repeatedly; recommended torque is 35.5-42.5 ozf.in (25-30 cN.m). Lap joint construction guards against dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54.

The drawing gives inside dimensions of 183.52 x 103.53 x 56.60 mm (7.225 x 4.076 x 2.228 in) and a body of 190.40 x 110.60 mm. Card guides molded into all side walls accept 1.5 mm (0.062") boards, with a guide height of 51.60 mm; 1591Z adaptors allow horizontal mounting.
