Hammond 1590Z119 122x120x82mm Heavy-Duty Diecast Aluminum Enclosure

The 1590Z119 is a heavy-duty 122 x 120 x 82 mm diecast aluminum enclosure from the 1590Z Series, sized for PC boards up to 107.52 x 107.7 mm. It serves integrators and OEM engineers who need a near-square, thick-wall, water-tight housing with an internal mounting shelf for controls, communications or power electronics.

The two piece tongue and groove box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy with a 4.75 mm average wall. A replaceable one piece silicone rubber gasket rated -40C to +150C (-40F to 302F) ships loose inside the enclosure. Four recessed stainless steel machine screws fasten the lid into tapped M6 - 1 holes; they are self-captivating and form threads on first installation, suiting frequent service access. Recommended cover screw torque is 15-17 lbf.in (150-170 cN.m).

The part page lists 4.8 x 4.72 x 3.23 in (122 x 120 x 82 mm); the drawing shows 119.99 x 121.99 x 82.10 mm overall with a 21 mm lid depth. Inside width is about 110.86 mm and inside depth 73.35 mm. The mounting shelf accepts M6 machine ground screws and the optional steel inner panel 1590Z119PL. The assembly includes box, lid, silicone gasket, 4 cover screws and 4 ground screws with washers.

This is the natural, unfinished aluminum version of the enclosure, supplied without paint so it can be machined, finished or left as cast. Blind through holes outside the gasket let it be wall mounted without compromising the seal.

It is IP68 rated, cUL and UL listed (file E65324), independently tested to IP66, IP67, IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, and IK08 impact rated per IEC62262. RoHS and REACH compliant.
