The 1590WYF is a compact 92 x 92 x 42 mm watertight diecast aluminum enclosure with a welded bottom flange for wall or panel mounting. Designed to meet IP65, it gives integrators and OEM engineers a small surface-mount housing for electronic instrument assemblies.
Die-cast aluminum alloy box and lid are tough yet easy to machine. Lap joint construction guards the lid seam against dust and splashing water, and a silicone gasket is supplied loose inside the enclosure for fitting to the lid. The low side wall draft angle of 2° or less makes PC board mounting easier. The natural aluminum version is left unpainted and vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges.
The bottom flange extends the overall length to 120.65 mm [4.750 in] and the overall height to 43.50 mm [1.713 in]. Inside dimensions are 85.17 x 85.17 mm [3.353 x 3.353 in] with 36.30 mm [1.429 in] of height, and the maximum PC board size is 84.17 x 84.17 mm.
Four 6-32 UNC cover screws thread into factory-tapped holes; recommended torque with the gasket is 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in]. The purchased assembly includes box, lid and four screws, ships shrink wrapped, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. The replacement gasket kit is 1590YGASKET.
