The 1590WXXFL combines the shallow 145 x 121 x 39 mm watertight diecast aluminum box with a lid that has an integrated wall-mounting flange. It is a fit for installers and OEM engineers who need a slim, IP65-designed housing that screws to a wall or panel by the lid.
Die-cast aluminum alloy is tough yet easy to machine for glands and connectors. Lap joint construction protects the lid seam against dust and splashing water, and the silicone gasket, supplied loose inside the enclosure, is applied to the lid. Side walls have a draft angle of 2° or less to ease PC board mounting. The natural aluminum version is left unpainted and vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges.
The flanged lid gives an overall length of 175.20 mm [6.898 in], and the enclosure stands 39.30 mm [1.547 in] tall. Inside dimensions are 139.00 x 115.00 mm [5.472 x 4.528 in] with an inside height of 35.05 mm [1.380 in]; maximum PC board size is listed as 114 mm (length) by 138 mm (width).
The lid closes with four 6-32 UNC cover screws into factory-tapped holes, torqued to 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. Box, lid and screws ship together in shrink wrap, and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant. Order 1590XGASKET for a replacement gasket kit.
