The 1590WXFL is a 145 x 121 x 56 mm watertight diecast aluminum enclosure with a wall-mounting flange integrated into the lid. It is intended for integrators and OEM engineers who need a rectangular IP65-designed housing that fixes to a wall, panel or machine frame by its lid.
Die-cast aluminum alloy construction is rugged yet straightforward to drill and mill. The lap joint between lid and box protects against dust and splashing water, and the silicone gasket, supplied loose inside, is applied to the lid to seal the enclosure. Side wall draft is 2° or less for easier PC board mounting. The natural aluminum version is left unpainted and vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges.
With the flanged lid the overall length is 175.20 mm [6.898 in]; the box body is 145.20 x 121.20 mm [5.717 x 4.772 in] and 56.40 mm [2.220 in] high. Inside dimensions are 138.09 x 114.09 mm [5.437 x 4.492 in] with an inside height of 52.40 mm [2.063 in]. Listed maximum PC board dimensions are 113.09 mm (length) by 137.09 mm (width).
Four 6-32 UNC cover screws thread into factory-tapped holes; torque to 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket installed. The purchased assembly includes box, lid and four screws, ships shrink wrapped, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. The replacement gasket kit is 1590XGASKET.
