The 1590WG2FL is the water-tight version of the 1590G2, a compact diecast aluminum enclosure measuring 3.94 in x 1.97 in x 1.22 in (100 mm x 50 mm x 31 mm) in natural aluminum. It has a wall-mounting flange integrated into the lid. It is a practical choice for small instrument, sensor and interface electronics that need a tough, machinable metal case protected against dust and splashing water.
Box and lid are die-cast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine, joined with lap joint construction. The water-tight version is designed to meet IP65 and includes a silicone gasket, supplied loose inside the enclosure rather than pre-installed. This natural version is unpainted and vibra finished, leaving a smooth aluminum surface with no sharp edges.
The inside box measures 94.82 mm [3.733 in] long, 44.82 mm [1.764 in] wide and 26.70 mm [1.051 in] high, and maximum P.C. board dimensions are listed as 43.82 mm and 93.82 mm. Across the lid flange the overall length is 126.50 mm [4.980 in]. Side walls have a draft angle of 2° or less for easy PC board mounting.
Four cover screws are included, threaded into factory-tapped holes; recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. The 1590GGASKET replacement kit and 6-32 x 1/2" liquid resistant screws (1590WMS100) are available. The 1590WG2FL is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships shrink wrapped and weighs 0.28 lbs (0.13 kg).
