The 1590WG is the water-tight, natural aluminum version of the 1590G, a slim diecast aluminum enclosure measuring 3.94 in x 1.97 in x 1 in (100 mm x 50 mm x 25 mm). With no mounting flanges and a low profile, it suits compact sensor, interface and small instrument electronics where dust and splashing water are a concern.
Box and lid are die-cast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine, and meet in a lap joint. This version is designed to meet IP65 and comes with a silicone gasket supplied loose inside the enclosure, not pre-installed. The natural finish is unpainted and vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges.
The drawing shows an overall height of 25.50 mm [1.004 in] (the ordering table lists a nominal 1.02 in / 26 mm), with an inside box of 95.23 mm [3.749 in] long, 45.23 mm [1.781 in] wide and 21.00 mm [.827 in] high. Maximum P.C. board dimensions are listed as 44.23 mm and 94.23 mm, and side walls have a draft angle of 2° or less.
Four cover screws come threaded into factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes. Recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. Replacement gasket kit 1590GGASKET and 1590WMS100 stainless steel screws with O-ring are available. The 1590WG is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships shrink wrapped and weighs 0.23 lbs (0.10 kg).
