Hammond 1590WAFBK 93x39x31 mm IP65 Watertight Flanged Box, Black

The 1590WAFBK combines the water-tight 1590A diecast aluminum enclosure with a flanged bottom plate, finished in textured black. Designed to meet IP65, it gives integrators and OEM engineers a compact, sealed metal box that screws directly to a wall, panel or machine frame.

Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy and the bottom flange is welded to the box. The textured black version is coated with tough polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, and black screws are included to enhance appearance. A silicone gasket is included, supplied loose inside the enclosure rather than pre-installed, and is rated for -40°C to 150°C (-40°F to 302°F).

The listed size is 3.65 in x 1.52 in x 1.22 in (93 mm x 39 mm x 31 mm), with a nominal 3.66 in x 1.54 in x 1.22 in in the ordering table. The drawing gives an overall length of 121.16 mm [4.770 in] across the flange and an overall height of 32.50 mm [1.280 in]. Inside, the box is 87.80 mm x 33.70 mm x 27.40 mm, taking PC boards up to 86.8 mm x 32.7 mm.

Included are the box, lid and 4 cover screws in factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes; the recommended torque with gasket is 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in]. The 1590AGASKET kit supplies replacement gaskets, and watertight stainless steel screws with O-ring come as 1590WMS100 and 1590WMS100BK. The 1590WAFBK is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships in shrink wrap and weighs 0.23 lbs (0.10 kg).
