Hammond 1590UF 120x120x59 mm Natural Diecast Box, Flanged Base

The 1590UF takes the square 1590U diecast aluminum enclosure and adds a flanged bottom plate for fastening to a wall, panel or equipment chassis. Finished in natural aluminum, it suits integrators and OEM engineers housing control boards or interface electronics in a metal box that mounts securely.

The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, and the bottom flange is welded on. The unpainted natural aluminum version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet protects against dust and splashing water, and this standard version is designed to meet IP54.

Nominal size is 4.72 in x 4.72 in x 2.32 in (120 mm x 120 mm x 59 mm). Across the flange the drawing shows 149.10 mm [5.870 in] overall length, with an overall height of 60.10 mm [2.366 in]. The inside box is 112.65 mm x 112.65 mm x 53.60 mm, maximum PC board size is 111.74 mm x 111.74 mm, and the side wall draft angle of 2° or less keeps board mounting simple.

The assembly includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws in factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes, torqued to 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. A water-tight version, 1590WUF, and the 1590QGASKET replacement kit are listed for sealed installations. The 1590UF is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 0.95 lbs (0.43 kg).
