The 1590TGASKET is a replacement and upgrade gasket kit for 1590T size diecast aluminum enclosures (120 mm x 80 mm x 59 mm). Each kit includes two pre-formed silicone gaskets, giving builders and OEM teams a simple way to convert a standard IP54 enclosure into one designed to meet IP65, or to replace the gasket in a watertight box.
The gaskets carry an adhesive backing for easy installation and are applied to the lid. Because the gasket goes on afterwards, the enclosure can be machined and/or painted first and gasketed later, which keeps the seal clear of drilling swarf and paint.
The silicone gasket has a temperature rating of -40°C to 150°C (-40°F to 302°F). It is designed to meet IP65 when properly installed and the lid screws are torqued to 25-30 cN.m (36-43 ozf.in). When converting a standard enclosure to a watertight box, also order watertight cover screws: stainless steel with O-ring, 6-32 x 1/2", as 1590WMS100 or black 1590WMS100BK (Pkg 100).
The kit is listed as the optional replacement gasket for the 1590T, 1590TBK, 1590TF, 1590TFBK, 1590TFL and 1590TFLBK and their water-tight counterparts. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a bag with a shipping weight of 0.01 lbs.
