The 1590SFBK is the compact 1590S diecast aluminum enclosure, 4.35 x 3.24 x 1.73 in (110 x 82 x 44 mm), fitted with a welded flanged bottom plate. In black, it gives electricians, integrators and OEM builders a small electronics box that screws directly onto a panel, wall or piece of equipment.
The drawing shows 139.14 mm (5.478 in) overall across the flange, 45.50 mm (1.791 in) overall height with the bottom plate, and flange mounting holes on 127.86 mm (5.034 in) centres. Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy joined by a lap joint that protects against dust and splashing water; the standard version is designed to meet IP54. It is coated in textured black polyester powder paint for a lasting finish after machining, and black screws are included.
Inside dimensions are 103.65 mm (4.081 in) long, 75.55 mm (2.974 in) wide and 39.25 mm (1.545 in) high. Maximum P.C. board values are listed as 74.68 mm (length) and 102.78 mm (width), and the side wall draft angle is 2° or less.
Four 6-32 UNC screws are included and thread into factory-tapped holes, with a recommended torque of 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in] (25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with a gasket). The water-tight 1590WSFBK is designed to meet IP65; the 1590SGASKET kit upgrades this version. RoHS and REACH compliant, shipped shrink wrapped at 0.61 lbs (0.28 kg).
