Hammond 1590BSPR Purple 112x61x38mm Diecast Stomp Box Enclosure

The 1590BSPR is a painted diecast aluminum stomp box enclosure from the 1590-STOMP series, finished in Purple and built for stomp box manufacturers and experimenters who want an enclosure that arrives already powder coated. It is the 1590BS body: the compact 112 x 61 mm footprint of the 1590B in a taller build, giving more inside height (38.00 mm per the drawing) while keeping the same narrow footprint.

The box and lid are made from diecast aluminum alloy, which is tough yet easy to machine. The enclosure is factory powder coated with a smooth, glossy polyester powder coat that keeps a lasting finish even after machining, and the smooth surface allows easy adhesion of labels or silk screens. The finish is Purple, matched to RAL 4008, so the colour can be referenced by its standard RAL number when you plan graphics or matching hardware.

The series ordering table lists this size at 4.41 in (112 mm) long, 2.40 in (61 mm) wide and 1.50 in (38 mm) high; the part page gives 4.41 in x 2.38 in x 1.65 in (112 mm x 60 mm x 42 mm). The drawing shows 112.00 mm [4.409 in] x 60.50 mm [2.382 in] x 42.00 mm [1.654 in] overall, with an inside length of 106.47 mm [4.192 in], inside width of 54.97 mm [2.164 in] and inside height of 38.00 mm [1.496 in]. Maximum P.C. board size is listed as 52.97 mm x 104.47 mm, and a low side wall draft angle of 2° or less makes PC board mounting easier. (The table's 38 mm height matches the drawing's inside height; overall height is 42 mm.)

Each purchased assembly includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws (6-32 UNC). Lap joint construction protects against access of dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54. To reach IP65, add the optional 1590BGASKET gasket together with water-tight screws. Recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with a gasket. The 1590BSPR is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in shrink wrap.
