Hammond 1589T4G1 4-Outlet 20A Industrial Power Strip, 15 ft Cord

The 1589T4G1 is a heavy-duty industrial outlet strip with four NEMA 5-20R receptacles, rated 20A at 120VAC (125VAC service per the series specification). It is built for the rugged requirements of industrial and commercial use, making it suited to work benches, machine areas, test stations and equipment rooms where standard consumer power strips fall short. This version has no on/off switch; instead a red pilot light indicates when power is on. The switched equivalent in the same configuration is 1589H4G1.

Construction is all metal: a tough extruded aluminum case with a black powder-coated steel cover, finished in anodized/black. A resettable 20A, 125VAC circuit breaker is built in to protect against accidental line overload. Heavy-duty black receptacles use the single T-slot 5-20R pattern, so both 5-15 and 5-20 plugs can be accommodated.

The 1589T4G1 measures 10.18 in (259 mm) long by 2.13 in (54 mm) wide by 2.33 in (59 mm) high, with a drawing height of 2.334 in (59.28 mm). It ships with a 15 ft heavy-duty 12/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges, terminated in an integral molded straight-blade NEMA 5-20P plug. Shipping weight is 3.55 lbs (1.61 kg).

Mounting feet with keyhole slots allow temporary work station mounting if desired; replacement feet are available individually as 1584MF. The series is UL/cUL Listed to UL1363 (file No. E166039) and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14, with the drawing also noting CSA C22.2 No. 21-95 and 42-99. Operating temperature is -20 C to +60 C, and the product is RoHS compliant, REACH compliant, TAA compliant for GSA Schedule purchases and manufactured in North America.
