Hammond 1589T24F1 24-Inch 8-Outlet Vertical PDU, 20A 120V

The 1589T24F1 is a 24 in (610 mm) vertical basic PDU from the 1589H-T Series, built for IT, AV and electrical professionals who need clean, code-compliant power distribution inside server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks. It carries eight NEMA 5-20R heavy-duty black receptacles rated 20A, 125VAC, all on the front face of the strip, and is rated 120VAC / 20A single-phase.

Construction is a low-profile, slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, giving a rugged but light weight assembly with a natural finish (a black finish is available upon request). The 1 in square receptacles are equally spaced over the length of the strip. This version is the pilot light model: it has no on/off switch but includes a power indicator light plus a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker. The matching switched version of the same size is 1589H24F1.

Power input is a 6 ft heavy-duty 12/3 SJT cord with an integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight blade plug, suitable for extreme temperature ranges; the operating temperature range is -20 degrees C to +60 degrees C. Overall assembly length on the drawing is 23.968 in (608.79 mm), and shipping weight for 1589T24F1 is 3.5 lbs (1.59 kg).

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included, so the strip can be mounted vertically in a cabinet or horizontally above a workbench; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as they and the equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories — allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts.

The series is UL/cUL Listed to UL1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14, RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
