Hammond 1589H77G1JV 20A 77-Inch Vertical PDU, 12 5-20R Outlets

The 1589H77G1JV is a 77 in (1956 mm) vertical basic power distribution unit rated 20A at 120VAC, built for IT, AV and OEM installations where equipment is powered from the rear of an open rack or cabinet. It is supplied with a 15 ft shielded power cord terminated in an integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight blade plug, and distributes power through 1 in square 5-20R receptacles equally spaced over the length of the strip.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, keeping the unit rugged but light at a 6.5 lbs (2.95 kg) shipping weight in a Natural finish. The cord shielding uses 100% aluminum (mylar) foil coverage with a 20 gauge drain wire, which reduces EMI/RFI and "dirty" power coming from the utility feed — useful in broadcast, audio and instrumentation racks where interference is a concern.

Control and protection are built in: an on/off rocker power switch and a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker. The overall assembly measures 1967.79 mm [77.472 in] from end to end per the drawing, with a 41.05 mm [1.616 in] profile width and 29.18 mm [1.149 in] depth dimension shown on the end view.

Mounting is toolless by way of the included PDU button mounting provision, and a hardware mounting kit is included with each outlet strip (P/N 1585CLIP is the additional hardware kit). Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails when mounting 1589H77G1JV vertically in a cabinet.

The unit is cULus Listed to UL1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 (UL File # E166039), RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
