Hammond 1588T12A1S 77 in Vertical PDU, 12 Outlets with Surge

The 1588T12A1S is a vertical basic PDU with surge protection, built for data center cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks where a full-height power strip is needed alongside mounted equipment. It provides 12 front-facing NEMA 5-15R outlets rated 125VAC, 15 amps, single-phase, and is supplied with a 6 ft 14/3 SJT cord terminating in an integral molded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug.

The strip uses a low-profile slim design with an anodized aluminum extrusion case and ABS plastic ends, keeping the assembly rugged but light at a 5.5 lbs (2.49 kg) shipping weight. Receptacles are 1 in square and equally spaced over the length of the strip at 5.000 in (127.00 mm) typical centres, so cords and transformers can be distributed evenly down the cabinet. Strip length is 77.00 in (1956 mm), with an overall assembly length of 77.472 in (1967.79 mm).

This version is the pilot light model: there is no on/off switch, and a power indicator light shows the strip is live. A resettable 15 amp circuit breaker provides overcurrent protection, and a separate green surge indicator light confirms the surge module is active. If the surge module reaches the end of its useful life, internal protection disconnects it and extinguishes the green light while power to the load is maintained, now unprotected.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with the 1588T12A1S; additional kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The unit is cULus Listed to UL 1449 and C22.2 No. 269.3-17 for Type 3 Surge Protective Devices and to UL 1363 and C22.2 No. 308-18 for relocatable power taps, plus TAA-compliant and RoHS compliant, manufactured in North America.
