Hammond 1588H12D1JV 77" 12-Outlet Vertical PDU, 15A Locking Cord

The 1588H12D1JV is a 77-inch vertical basic PDU (power distribution strip) rated 15A at 120VAC, built for IT, AV and industrial racks where a long run of outlets is needed down the side or rear of a cabinet. It provides 12 NEMA 5-15R receptacles, all on the front face, spaced equally over the length of the strip, with an on/off rocker switch and a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, in a natural finish, keeping the unit rugged but light at a 6.5 lb (2.95 kg) shipping weight. The integral 15 ft power cord is shielded with 100% aluminum mylar foil coverage and a 20 gauge drain wire, which reduces EMI/RFI and "dirty" power from utilities — the reason this JV series variant is specified where electromagnetic or radio frequency interference is a concern. The cord terminates in an integral molded NEMA L5-15P locking plug.

Overall length is 77.00 in (1956 mm) nominal, with the drawing showing 77.200 in (1960.88 mm) for the extrusion and 77.472 in (1967.79 mm) for the assembly. Receptacles are 1 in. square. A hardware mounting kit is included, and the 1588H12D1JV also includes a toolless PDU button mounting provision; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP.

Per the series notes, outlet strips cannot be installed between the front and rear panel rails of a rack cabinet, since the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories — allow sufficient depth behind the rear rails for vertical mounting. The unit is cULus Listed to UL1363, CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 and C22.2 No. 0.4-04 (UL File # E166039), TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases in the USA, RoHS and REACH compliant, and manufactured in North America.
