Hammond 1588H12B1JV 77" 12-Outlet 15A Vertical PDU, Shielded Cord

The 1588H12B1JV is a 77-inch vertical basic PDU (power distribution strip) with 12 NEMA 5-15R outlets, rated 15 amps at 120VAC. It is built for IT, AV and broadcast integrators, electricians and facilities teams that need to distribute single-phase power along the full height of a rack or cabinet, and specifically for installations where electromagnetic or radio frequency interference is a concern.

The housing uses a low-profile slim design constructed of rugged, lightweight aluminum: the case is an anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, supplied in a natural finish. The 15 ft power cord is shielded with 100% aluminum foil coverage and a 20 gauge drain wire, which reduces EMI/RFI and "dirty" power from utilities, and terminates in an integral molded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug.

All 12 receptacles face the front of the strip (no rear outlets) and are 1" square, equally spaced over the length of the power strip. Control and protection are built in with an on/off rocker switch and a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker. Overall length is 77.00 in (1956 mm) nominal, with the drawing showing an assembly length of 77.472 in (1967.79 mm); shipping weight is 6.5 lbs (2.95 kg).

A hardware mounting kit is included, and 1588H12B1JV also includes a toolless PDU button mounting provision for quick vertical installation. Additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as they and the equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting.

This PDU is cULus Listed to UL1363, CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 and CSA C22.2 No. 0.4-04 (UL File # E166039), TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, RoHS and REACH compliant, and manufactured in North America.
