Hammond 1587H12B1 70-Inch 12-Outlet Vertical Power Strip, 15A

The 1587H12B1 is a 70 in (1778 mm) vertical basic power distribution unit with 12 NEMA 5-15R outlets, rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps. It is intended for IT, AV and OEM installations where a full-height strip is needed to feed rack- or cabinet-mounted equipment from a single 120 V single-phase branch circuit, and the low-profile slim design also lets it be used horizontally on a workbench.

Construction is a rugged, lightweight anodized aluminum extrusion case with ABS plastic ends, supplied in the Natural finish. All 12 receptacles are on the front face (no rear outlets), are 1 in square and are equally spaced over the length of the strip at 127.00 mm (5.000 in) typical centres. Power control is an on/off rocker switch with a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker; the matching pilot-light version of this size is 1587T12B1.

Power comes from an integral 15 ft cord with moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug, using heavy-duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT wire rated for extreme temperature ranges. The 1587H12B1 is not surge protected, not metered and not hospital grade, and the outlets are not rotated.

Overall assembly length on the drawing is 1789.89 mm (70.468 in) and shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg). A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The strip is cULus Listed (UL File # E166039) to UL 1363 and CSA Certified to C22.2 No. 21-95 and 42-99, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant and manufactured in North America.
