Hammond 1585T10B1 48-Inch 10-Outlet Vertical PDU, 15A 125VAC

The 1585T10B1 is a 48 in. vertical basic power distribution unit from the Hammond 1585-6-7-8 series, built for rack and cabinet power distribution where ten straight-blade outlets are needed down the height of an enclosure. It is rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps and carries ten NEMA 5-15R receptacles, all on the front face, making it a straightforward choice for IT, AV, telecom and workbench power feeds.

Construction is a low-profile, slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, giving a rugged but lightweight strip in a natural finish. The receptacles are 1 in. square and equally spaced over the length of the strip, and the unit includes a power indicator (pilot) light rather than a rocker switch, plus a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker for overcurrent protection.

Power is supplied by a heavy duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT cord suited to extreme temperature ranges, with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug. This version of 1585T10B1 ships with a 15 ft cord, which helps reach a receptacle at the top or base of a cabinet without an extension. The cord is unshielded, and this model is not surge protected, not metered and not hospital grade.

Nominal strip length is 48.00 in (1219 mm), with the drawing showing an extrusion length of 1224.28 mm [48.200 in] and an overall assembly length of 1231.09 mm [48.468 in]. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; additional hardware kits are available under P/N 1585CLIP. The strip can also be laid horizontally on a workbench.
