Hammond 1585T10A1S 48" 10-Outlet Vertical PDU with Surge Protection

The 1585T10A1S is a 48 in (1219 mm) vertical basic PDU with built-in surge protection, built for IT, AV and facilities teams powering equipment inside server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks. It provides ten NEMA 5-15R outlets on the front face, rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 Amps, and ships with an integral 6 ft power cord terminated in a NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug.

Construction is a low-profile, slim anodized aluminum extrusion case with ABS plastic ends, giving a rugged but light weight assembly (4 lbs / 1.81 kg shipping weight) in a Natural finish. The receptacles are 1 in square and equally spaced over the length of the strip. A resettable 15 Amp circuit breaker is built into the strip, and this pilot-light version uses a power indicator light rather than an on/off switch, so power is controlled upstream.

Surge suppression is handled at the outlet to guard against transients from equipment connected to the strip. The module is rated 1080 J maximum energy with 25,000 Amp MOVs for a total of 75,000 Amps of single pulse transient current, a Voltage Protection Rating (Vpr) of 500 V in all three modes (L-N, L-G, N-G) and a Nominal Discharge Current (In) of 5 kA. A green indicator light confirms the surge module is active; at the end of the module's useful life internal protection disconnects it and extinguishes the light while maintaining power to the load, now unprotected.

Overall assembly length is 1231.19 mm (48.472 in) with a 41.05 mm (1.616 in) profile width. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included, and the 1585T10A1S can also be installed horizontally above a work bench. Additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The unit is cULus Listed to UL 1449 and C22.2 No. 269.3-17 (Type 3 SPD) and to UL 1363 and C22.2 No. 308-18, TAA-compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, and manufactured in North America.
