The 1583H8E1BKDP is a 1U horizontal rack mount basic PDU from the 1582E DP Series, built for 19" rack and cabinet installations where power needs to be distributed at the rear of the enclosure. All eight IEC 320 C13 outlets face the rear, with zero outlets on the front, so patch cords and IEC power leads stay behind the equipment and out of the service aisle.
Power enters through a rear-mounted IEC 320 C14 inlet and is switched by a lighted double pole, single throw rocker switch with a green indicator. Two resettable 10A circuit breakers are built in to guard against accidental line overload. The unit is rated 100-240VAC (TUV), 120-240VAC (UL), 10A, 50/60Hz for single-phase use, and it is not metered and does not include surge protection or rotated outlets.
Construction is all steel with a black powder coat finish that complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high, 19.00 in (483 mm) wide and 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with a shipping weight of 3 lbs (1.36 kg). The drawing shows a 17.500 in mounting hole centre span and a 1.718 in panel height for the 1U front panel.
