The 157M is an 8 henry filter choke rated at 100 mA DC, intended for smoothing the output of high voltage DC power supplies in amplifiers, test gear and OEM equipment.
With 259 ohms of DC resistance it sits between the higher-inductance 157L and the lower-inductance 157Q in the C9H frame size, giving a middle-of-the-range choice for 100 mA circuits.
